Hair has always been more than my profession. It’s been
my way of helping people feel confident, comfortable and truly themselves.
Over the past four decades I’ve worked with thousands of
women, and while every head of hair is different, I’ve discovered something
they all have in common.
Most people don’t actually need more products. They need
a better understanding of their hair. That’s where everything changes.
My Story
I began my hairdressing career in England before making New Zealand my home. Over the years I built my career around one simple belief:
I believe understanding your hair changes everything.
I loved creating beautiful hair, but I noticed something that stayed with me. Clients would leave the salon feeling amazing… Only to struggle recreating that same feeling at home.
They’d tell me:
- “My hair never looks like this when I do it.”
- “I’ve tried everything.”
- “Nothing seems to work for me.”
It wasn’t because they weren’t trying. It was because no one had ever explained why their hair behaved the way it did.
That realisation completely changed the way I work.
Why I Created Your Hair Coach
I wanted to create something different from a traditional salon. A place where appointments weren’t rushed.
- Where there was time to listen.

- Time to educate.
And time to create an experience that felt just as nourishing as the results themselves.
Your Hair Coach was born from the belief that when people understand their hair, they stop guessing and start feeling confident.
Because beautiful hair shouldn’t only happen on salon day.

We created Your Hair Coach after noticing how many clients struggled to maintain that salon look between appointments, often feeling frustrated or disappointed with their hair at home.
Traditional salon visits focus on the service itself, but Your Hair Coach goes deeper — helping you truly understand your hair, how to care for it, and how to achieve results that work for your lifestyle every day.
Together, we focus on understanding, repairing, nourishing, and protecting your hair so you can get the very best results from your styling routine and any treatments you invest in.

Not at all! We understand that sometimes you need a fresh perspective. After your consultations, you are free to return to your usual stylist armed with your new knowledge and understanding if you wish.
For those who are looking for a complete change, we do offer expert cuts & styling, either mobile at your place, or mine in Omokoroa.

In-person services; haircuts, styling, consultations, and re-styling are available from my Omokoroa home studio, or I can come to you in the comfort of your own home.
Yes, you can take the option of a stand-alone expert cut & style finish. We also offering a perming, permanent wave, service.
